I am a Veteran Army Helicopter pilot from the post Vietnam Era. However, I currently operate an OH-6 that was assigned to your unit during the Conflict. The aircraft has been completely refurbished with a great paint scheme and control touch. I will gladly provide pictures of the aircraft to anyone who flew or worked on the aircraft, or anyone interested. I am seeking any information on the history of the aircraft and would love to hear stories and see pictures. The aircraft was operated by Alpha Troop 7/1 Cav and the tail number is as follows: 6919185. Thanks in advance for your help, and thank you for your service to this great nation.

Hi all, served with B Trp 7/1 (scouts) 71-72 at Vinh Long Army Airfield. Just recently returned from a visit to Vietnam, checked out the old town of Vinh Long and Can Tho. To my surprise, both have transformed into modern up to date towns highly influenced by the western style of living. Hotels in the downtown area are equiped with air conditioning rooms, hot/cold running water, cable television (espn, cnn, HBO, etc..) for price of $13.00 US per day, ATM machines on almost every street corner (works well too, withdrew money from my Wells Fargo Checking Account with just a $5.00 service fee on my monthly statement. I didn't see any KFCs in the delta area but there were a few in Saigon and Vung Tau. I'm glad I made the trip back and if you're ever in Saigon, make sure you stop and eat at Wayne McCoy's Texas BBQ, great food and good prices.
Dutchmasters Scout Out!
